Equipped the travel community for sustainable travel
What: When APAC finally got its ‘back to travel’ moment with the easing of travel restrictions in 2022, Booking.com – one of the world’s leading digital travel companies – set out to restart and lead the sustainable travel conversation for the
post-pandemic travel landscape, with the objective of encouraging and enabling sustainable choices and actions throughout the community.
How: Allison collaborated with Booking.com to design a year-long communications rollout, driven by milestone occasions and guided by Booking.com’s proprietary consumer data and insights. This approach leveraged their web-based business model to effectively execute sustainable travel initiatives. Collaborating to drive greater industry impact in sustainable travel, Making it easier for travelers to book local and sustainable travel experiences and Sharing a culture of sustainability with young travelers.

The Results – What We Achieved
Booking.com’s strategic approach acknowledged the beauty of an effective offline and online communications strategy. Whilst Booking.com is first and foremost a web-based business, it was able to leverage its strong online presence to bring to life tangible, engaging offline experiences that reinforced its credibility as a sustainable business, further enhancing their impact in the travel industry. Over the course of the year, Booking.com saw 7x uplift in organic social mentions for Booking.com and sustainability related keywords in the month of June.
