Overview
Ushered in the 5G economy
What: Showcased Qualcomm’s technology leadership in the premium processor space by launching the company’s largest Tech Summit influencer campaign,
which resulted in a 165% year-over-year increase in global new stories and a 64% increase in social engagement.
How: As Qualcomm’s AOR, we were tasked with creating a cohesive influencer strategy streamlining the various priority messages across the multi-national corporation’s core business units. We optimized the program creating consistency and established objectives and KPIs benchmarked against past influencer work. Data analytics informed content strategy and helped identify influencers, while we expanded the types of influencers and channel mix to reach the right audiences. We extended the program beyond product, bringing in industry experts and thought leaders to tell the 5G story beyond traditional media.

The Results – What We Achieved
Results: As a result of the large global media and analyst in-person attendance, thanks to the implementations from our media research, and targeted influencer campaigns, the event saw a sizeable increase in coverage. The announcements resulted in a 165% year-over-year increase in global English articles, at 3,771, including Reuters, Fast Company, CNBC and The Verge, with strong message pull-through across all the four product areas: mobile, compute, gaming and audio. The influencer partners, who not only helped visualize the technology achievements but also fostered audience interaction with a wider consumer audience, resulted in a 26% year-over-year increase in YouTube video views, at 3 million, and secured 110 social posts, a 64% increase
